Mouth herpes in the most inappropriate moments? If the answer is yes, then know that in addition to the usual medication, nature gives us a hand in getting rid of herpes. A fast, simple, healthy way.
Herpes is caused by the Herpes Simplex virus. There are two types of virus: one that causes lesions from the mouth and one that causes genital herpes. Lip level herpes start with a blob, which grows, becomes reddish and painful, and after 24 hours a small bundle of yellowish blotches takes its place.
After three days, these blisters break and form crust that disappears after 10 days, leaving no trace on skin. Once contracted, the herpes virus remains in the body and can always give such lesions.
Here is what you can use to treat it:
Marigold (calendula officinalis) ointments greatly helps the healing process
Marigold is recognized for its healing, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, reducing healing time by half. Ointments can be bought from herbal stores, but can also be prepared at home. For this, you need dried Calendula flowers, oil for infusing the flowers (olive, coconut, and sweet almond oil make a good blend), beeswax (25-30 grams per one cup of infused oil, more or less) and essential oils (10-20 drops per cup of infused oil) – optional.
The first step is to make infused Calendula oil. Strain the infused oil using a cheesecloth and strainer, squeezing out as much of the oil as possible. Put the infused oil into a double boiler, which can be as simple as a stainless steel bowl that fits over a pot with an inch or two of water in it. Bring that water to a simmer to gently heat the oil. Add the beeswax, and stir occasionally until it has completely dissolved. Add essential oils if using, and stir to combine – optional. Carefully pour the hot salve into tins or jars. Let cool completely before use.
Not only is this great against herpes, but you may use it daily on dry hands, and feet, chaffed lips and so much more.
Propolis prevents the spread of the virus
Gently massaging (using a cotton cue tip) with propolis tincture the herpes area will soon lead to the formation of a protective layer that allows the healing process to begin.
Propolis has silicon, magnesium, amino acids and cobalt in its composition, as well as antibiotic substances that give it healing and anti-infectious properties. Propolis also has antiviral effect, which prevents the spread of the virus.
Garlic has antioxidant effect
Another natural remedy that has proven effective in treating herpes is garlic. Due to its antioxidant properties, garlic is recommended even after the first eruptions. The garlic clove is cut in two and pressed against the affected area so that the active substances can take effect in the shortest time. Even if frosting is getting worse, it is good not to remove garlic. One can apply a garlic clove three times a day, the last application being recommended before bedtime.
Nettle tea reduces stinging
Due to the localization of herpes on the lips or around the mouth, there is a tendency to wet the lesions, which results in increased pain and delays in forming the crust.
In order to calm down the stomachs, one can drink a tea made from a mixture of nettle leaves, plum blossoms and rosemary flowers. Thus, after mincing the plants, add a spoonful of mixture to 250 ml of boiled water. Drink two cups of tea a day until the symptoms disappear.
Wild Pansy (Viola tricolor) and Echinacea
Drink a wild pansy tea because it cleans the blood of toxins. Prepare an infusion of Echinacea and drink three cups a day from it. These are some of the best known plants with immunostimulatory and antiviral effects, preventing the herpes virus from spreading.
Do not apply medicinal spirits, antibiotic, iodine or rivanol ointments because it causes excessive skin eruption. Don’t tear off the crust with your teeth because you are delaying the healing. And don’t despair – you look beautiful anyway!
