I recently read a book that shows you how to lose weight fast, just by eating bananas each morning! Let’s say we believe the author 🙂 She said she ate a banana every morning and she lost 5 kilograms in less then a week.
The Japanese banana diet was invented by the Sumiko and Hitoshi Watanabe. Hitoshi studied the preventive medicine and Sumiko studied the pharmacy industry, so they came together and wrote a book! You should know this diet is not a stress in your life, because it doesn’t change anything. The only thing you do extra is eat a banana and drink water (at room temperature) each morning, after which you can eat anything else you want in your everyday life. So everything else stays the same. I would add here something I tell everyone: no eating after 8 PM and going to sleep before midnight is very important!
How many bananas should I have for breakfast?
My best advice would be one, maximum 2. There is no strict rule to follow, but you don’t have to feel full.. the Japanese people are firm believers in not overstretching the stomach. And you should go for the greenish ones. And don’t forget about the water!
Why it the banana diet so unique? Here are some benefits:
- They’re full of fiber and potassium which represent a good source of energy
- One glass of warm water could improve your digestion
- It makes you stop craving alcohol
- They’re not expensive
- If you’re not drinking coffee, it’s even easier to control the glucose levels and your appetite
- Some say they noticed cellulite loss during this diet
