1. Oregano oil

Oregano is a popular spice especially used in Italian cuisine. However, it is also effective as a natural antibiotic. A 2001 article in Science Daily confirmed that the antibacterial properties of oregano oil are also effective against staphylococci, inhibiting the development of these bacteria more effectively, compared to standard medical antibiotics, such as penicillin or streptomycin. Researcher Paul Belaiche-Daninos, founding president of the French Institut national de phytothérapie,  has shown that oregano oil can kill 96% of pneumococcal bacteria, 83% of staphylococci and 78% of enterococci, irritating throat, fever, toxic shock syndrome, cystitis, anorexia and strong infections.

Turmeric (Curcuma longa)
